We need:
Semolina or suji-1 cup, vermicelli or semiya -1/2 cup.
Sugar as per your requirement
Milk - 4 cups
Dry fruits
Ghee or clarified butter 2 tablespoons
Method:
On a gas stove heat a pan now add ghee when ghee is heated add semolina, vermicelli and fry till it turns light brown add sugar and fry for 3 mins on medium low flame now add milk and stir it continuously on low flame. When milk dries off the gas stove ( don't dry milk totally) add dry fruits and mix well.
Kheer is ready to eat. Garnish with dry fruits and serve hot.
Note:
If you are making it for your kids don't add sugar make a smooth paste of dates with milk and dates and add it instead of sugar. You can add grated coconut in it
