But in different parts of Odisha cooking style varies. Today I am posting this recipe which I learnt from my house owner. So here we start.

1 potato cut into very small pieces
1 small brinjal cut into very small pieces
Some fried dry prawns
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
A pinch of pancha phutan
1 1/2 tablespoon white - black mustard, garlic, green chilli paste
1 tomato chopped
Salt as per your taste
Oil for cooking

Method of cooking

1. On a gas stove take a frying pan heat oil when oil is heated add vegetables 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder, salt and fry for 5 mins on medium flame stir continuesly.

2. When it is half cooked add little water mix well cover the lid and on medium low flame wait till it is properly cooked and water dries.

3. After it is cooked take it in a plate now in the same pan heat oil when oil is heated add panch phutan when it starts cracking low the flame now add mustard paste, turmeric powder, salt, tomato and cook for 1-2 min add little water cover the lid and cook for 2 mins more.

4. With the help of cooking spoon or spatula mash the tomato now add cooked vegetables, fried prawns and stir it add little water and on low flame cook it till water dries.

5. Your dry prawn curry is ready to eat. Eat in the way you like.

Note:

I have used mustard oil you can use any oil of your choice but mustard oil makes it more tasty.

I have used 2 green chilli in paste if you love more spicy then you can add green chilli directly in the curry.

Try to avoid red chilli powder because it's not good for health.
