ODIA STYLE DAHI BAIGAN




Every place has its own style of cooking food and dahi baigan is one of them. Some loves it as khatta, some loves it as meetha n some loves it as khatta mettha. Indians have the quality of giving a awesome tadka to foods which gives a nice aroma and mouthwatering flavour. So today I m posting a very simple but very delicious Indian food with odia flavour. So here it is


For making dahi baigan 

We need:



2 medium size brinjal washed and cut into round pieces.

2 cup fresh thick beaten yogart

1 teaspoon turmeric powder

1/4 teaspoon homemade roasted cumin powder

Crushed black pepper as per your taste

1/2 teaspoon punch phoran

Some fresh and washed curry  leaves

2 green chilli

Sugar as per your taste

Salt as per your taste

Oil for cooking

Method:


1. On a gas stove take a frying pan heat oil in it on the other hand in a bowl add brinjal, turmeric powder,salt and mix well and fry the brinjals till it cooks properly and keep aside.

2. Take another bowl add yogart, cumin powder,salt, sugar, crushed black pepper and mix well finally add brinjal in it.

3. On gas stove take a tempering pan or tadka pan add oil when oil is heated low the flame and add punch phoron when it starts cracking add curry leaves, green chilli,pinch of turmeric powder and give the tadka in yogart.

4. It's all ready to serve and eat. Serve as you like to eat.

Note

You can add homemade red chilli powder without adding black pepper powder.

If you r sore eating person then avoid sugar and you can use black mustard seeds without using punch phoron

Banana Steam Curry

For banana steam curry we need: 1  medium piece banana steam 1 brinjal 1 potato 1 tomato Oil Turmeric powder Pancha putan White musturd seeds Poppy seeds Garlic cloves Salt Method: In a small bowl add 4teaspoon of white musturd seeds,4 teaspoon poppy seeds,garlic cloves and water for half an hour then cut the banana stem in round shape and throw the threads out n chop the round pieces in a bowl add the chopped stem n half teaspoon of salt and leave it for 1 hour.
