A mix green leaf recipe from Oriya kitchen.

We need: 1 bunch of radish leaves chopped Some cauliflower leaves chopped Cabbage upper leaves chopped Garlic cloves crushed Salt as per taste Sugar 1 and 1/2 teaspoon Mustard seeds 1 teaspoon Mustard oil 1 tablespoon Method: Wash the chopped green leaves 3 times and drain the water in a strainer.  On a gas stove take a pan add the washed green leaves,salt and 1/4 glass of water and mix it cover the lid and cook it on low flame till water dries and green leaves cook properly. After it cooked properly take it out in a serving bowl now on the same pan heat oil after oil is heated put some mustard seeds when it starts cracking add crushed garlic and fry till it turns light brown color.  Now add the cooked green leaves,sugar and cook it for 5 mins on low flame. Oriya style baigan ka bharata or mashed eggplant.

We need : 2 eggplants burnt properly 1 small onion chopped 1 green chilli chopped( optional) 3-4 drops of mustard oil Salt as per taste Method: Take the burnt eggplants and remove the upper burnt  portion from it.  Now take a bowl mashed the eggplants add chopped onion,oil,salt and green chilli mix them properly. Baigan ka bharata is ready to eat. Serve with roti Note: 1.You can add 1 tablespoon of curd in it for more taste. 2. You can avoid mustard oil and use olive oil in it. 3.It's a very healthy recipe during dieting.

Cabbage Potato Fry

We need: 1/2 cabbage washed and chopped properly 1 big potato washed and cut into long thin pieces Green chilli chopped (optional}) 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder 1/2 teaspoon meat masala salt as per taste oil for cooking Method: On a gas stove take a pan heat oil in it now add cumin seeds when it starts cracking add chopped cabbage, potato , turmeric powder ,salt and stir it properly, cover the lid and cook it on low flame till veggies cooked properly and water dries ( while cooking on covered lid stir it once to avoid burning).When cabbage and potato cooked properly add cumin powder,meat masala and cook for 5 mins on low flame. It's ready to serve. Garnish with coriander leave and serve hot with roti , paratha or plain dosa.

Home Remedy for loose motion in baby

During loose motion we give many types of medicine to our cuties. But forget about home made medicine which is the first medicine we must try from the first day . Oats kichidi

We need : 2 cups oats 1/2 cup washed and chopped beans 1/2 cup fresh green peas Cauliflower washed and cut into small pieces 1 carrot washed and cut into small pieces 1 capsicum washed and cut into small pieces 1 small tomato washed and chopped 1 onion chopped 2 green chilli chopped ( optional) 1 teaspoon cumin seeds 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder Salt as per taste 1-2 tablespoons of oil Water as per requirement Method On a gas stove take a pan add oil in it. In hot oil add cumin seeds when it starts cracking add chopped green chilli, onion and fry it for few seconds on medium flame. Now add all vegetables into it except tomato and cook it in covered lid for 5 mins on low flame. At the same time on another gas stove take a pan add oats in it and roast it on low flame for 5 mins after 5 mins add chopped tomato,water  cover the lid and boil it when it starts boiling add roasted oats and stir it so that no lumps will form. Aloo Paneer Ki Sukhi Sabji Or Indian Cheese Potato Dry Curry

We need: 250 gm Paneer or Indian cheese cut into pieces 1 Boiled potato cut into piece 1/2 cup fresh green peas 1 tomato chopped Curry leaves (optional) Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder Oil for cooking Salt as per taste Method On a gas take a frying pan heat oil add cumin seeds and curry leaves in hot oil when it starts cracking low the flame now add chopped tomato, turmeric powder,salt, cumin powder and fry it till tomato cook properly after that add boiled potato, green peas and stir it for 3 mins on medium flame Now add 1/4 cup of water and cook on medium low flame with covered lid. When water dries add panner and cook for 3 mins on medium flame. Panner aloo dry curry is ready. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with roti,naan or paratha.

Spinach Dal

We need : Chopped spinach 1 cup pigeon pea lentil or toor dal  1 tomato chopped 1 onion finely chopped Chopped  garlic Chopped green chilli Turmeric powder Cumin seeds Cumin powder Meat masala Salt Oil. Butter for garnish Method Soak dal or lentil for 1 hour. After one hour  wash lentil or dal properly. Take a pressure cooker add lentil 1 1/2 cup water turmeric powder, salt cover the lid and Cook it till 5-6 whistles come. Now on gas stove take a pan and heat oil in it. when oil is heated add cumin seeds when it starts cracking add chopped onion, chopped garlic, chopped green chilli, chopped tomato,salt and cook for 1-2 mins on low medium flame. Now add cooked dal in it and stir it. Now add spinach,cumin powder,meat masala and stlr it. Cook for 3-4 min on low flame. Spinach Dal is ready to eat. Add butter and  serve with roti or naan.
